Jeff Hawke newspaper strip began in The Daily Express in 1955.
The Winged Avenger, the sixth episode of the fifth season of The Avengers, broadcast in 1967. Artwork for the episode was provided by Frank Bellamy.
Decimal Day, when the new British currency came into use in 1971, changed the cover price of every comic, annual and book on sale. It was a remarkably smooth transition, with increases in price staved off as long as possible.
