Andy Capp television series began broadcast of its first – and only – series on ITV in 1988.
Denis Gifford and Bob Monkhouse looked back at British comics in A Hundred Laughs for a Ha'penny, broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in 1998.
The Perishers newspaper strip reprints began in The Daily Mirror in 2010.
